Apex Hot Drop

Terms of use

Hot Drop is an unofficial, independent Apex Legends analytics app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Electronic Arts Inc. or Respawn Entertainment. Apex Legends is a trademark of Electronic Arts Inc. Last updated 8 September 2026.

The service

Browsing this site needs no account. Recording your own matches does: you create an account with an email address and password, install the Hot Drop app on Windows, and link the PC to that account from inside the app. The app records match events through Overwolf's Game Events Provider and uploads them to this site. It displays nothing in-game. Profiles are public: anyone who knows a handle can open it and read that player's recorded matches.

Subscriptions and trials

Recording requires an active subscription, lifetime access or trial. Subscription payments are processed by Tebex; the price, billing interval and renewal terms are shown at checkout. Manage or cancel recurring payments through the Manage payments link on your subscription page. Cancelling renewal keeps access through the current paid period. Uninstalling Hot Drop does not cancel a subscription. Trial codes do not require payment details and do not automatically become paid subscriptions. Lifetime access is a one-time purchase with no recurring payments.

Your account and handle

  • Use a handle you are willing to have listed publicly.
  • You are responsible for your password and for anything done by a PC you have linked. You can unlink a PC at any time from your account page.
  • One account per person. Do not share credentials.
  • Do not take a handle to impersonate someone, and do not use one that is unlawful, hateful, or infringing. We may remove data and release a handle that breaks this.

Acceptable use

  • Do not attempt to interfere with other players' records or with the ingest API.
  • Do not submit fabricated telemetry, or data captured from anyone who has not agreed to these terms.
  • Do not scrape the site at a rate that degrades it for other people.

Your highlight clips

Highlight recording is off until you enable it in the desktop app. Candidates stay on your PC until you approve them. If you include system audio or a microphone, you are responsible for having the right to record and share the voices and sounds they contain. You keep ownership of videos you upload. You give Hot Drop the limited permission needed to store, display, and distribute each clip through your public profile until you remove it. Only upload content you created or have permission to share. Do not upload unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit, privacy-invasive, or infringing content. We may remove clips that violate these terms or a valid legal request.

Your responsibilities in-game

Hot Drop reads only what Overwolf's supported API exposes. It does not modify Apex, read game memory, or automate play. You remain responsible for complying with EA's own terms; using Hot Drop is not a defence if EA takes a different view of third-party tools.

Turning it off

Screen capture, highlight recording, and Discord posting are off unless you switch them on, and can be switched off again at any time. “Delete my data” in the app permanently erases everything recorded under your username. Uninstalling the app stops collection; local files remain until you delete them.

No warranty

Game patches break event capture, derived statistics can be wrong, and the service may go down or lose data. Hot Drop is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. Use it as a personal review tool, not as a source of truth you bet on. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from its use.

Ending it

You can stop at any time by uninstalling and deleting your data. We may suspend or remove data that breaks these terms, or discontinue the service — if we shut it down we will give notice on this site first so you can export or delete what you want.
